Our Team
Katy Creech
Owner, General Manager
Katy was our first full-time employee when we opened in 2014, working behind the bar 5+ days a week, while also handling all of our bookkeeping, payroll, beer buying, and inventory management.
As our team has grown, her responsibilities have shifted. Working mostly from her office instead of behind the bar, she oversees our hiring, onboarding, and training programs, manages all of our bookkeeping, payroll, HR, and employee benefits, and meets regularly with our leadership team at both taproom locations to help plan events and ensure our company culture is in line with our core values.
Chris Creech
Owner, Director of Brewing Operations
Chris leads the beer production/brewing side of our business. He formulates our recipes and handles ingredient ordering and inventory, in addition to serving as our lead brewer at our RTP facility. As an owner, Chris is intimately involved in the future planning of The Glass Jug, helping steer the direction and growth of the company, evaluating and adjusting our product and service offerings, as needed.
As a Certified Cicerone, BJCP beer judge, and award-winning brewer, Chris occasionally teaches beer education classes at The Glass Jug and for other groups around the Triangle, and has presented to various other industry peer groups.
Jon Odgers
Retail Sales Manager
Jon works with our network of distributors and breweries to bring in a rotating selection of the best beer, wine, cider, and non-alcoholic beverages to our bottle shop in RTP. He also assists with procurement for non-Glass Jug products at our Downtown Durham taproom.
Among the many other hats that Jon wears to keep things rolling smoothly, Jon plans the logistics for many of the events for our RTP location, including booking live music, food trucks, and tap takeovers throughout the year.
Will Perry
Lead Brewer
Will leads our brewing and packaging operations at our Rocky Mount production facility. He brews all of the beer at that facility, handles all of the cellar work there, and leads the packaging of our canned beers. He also tracks inventory and oversees the quality assurance of our beer coming out of Rocky Mount.
Will previously worked at Jordan Lake Brewing and Salty Turtle Brewing before joining The Glass Jug Beer Lab.
Emma Sieck
Taproom Manager
Emma oversees operations at our Downtown Durham taproom, scheduling and supporting our team of bartenders, while also working with the rest of the management team on event planning, marketing, and employee training.
Emma holds a degree in science and has a background in building community and planning events, making her a perfect fit for our community-focused Beer Lab taproom.
Michael Smith
Head Bartender
Michael leads our team of bartenders at our RTP taproom and bottle shop, providing guidance, oversight, ongoing training, and scheduling for our full- and part-time staff. He also works with the rest of the management team to assist with events and planning, and to ensure we are meeting the needs of our bartending staff.
Michael knows his beer, and comes to The Jug with experience at Bangers Sausage House and Beer Garden in Austin, TX.
Parker Sheridan
Assistant Brewer & Delivery Driver
Parker not only leads all of the cellar work at our RTP brewery, but he also brews alongside Chris at at RTP and works on the packaging line in Rocky Mount.
Additionally, Parker is in charge of getting all of our beer from our Rocky Mount and RTP production facilities to both of our taproom locations and out to our retail accounts each week, making him our undisputed keg-lifting champion!
